My New Heroine

Whitman She does not have X-Ray vision or super human strength but Meg Whitman has made eBay an international phenomenon. She is also the first female Internet billionaire and is consistently one of the top most influential executive. Since taking over as CEO and President about 7 years ago, she has made eBay the household name that it is. I saw a documentary about eBay on CNBC last night and decided that I am going to be the next Meg Whitman :) She sits in a cubicle rather than a spacious office. She is loyal to eBay despite an offer from Disney(sure, she went to see Disney but she stayed didn’t she?). She is modest and often downplays her influence. She has excellent rapport with both the "community" and the staff. I salute you ma’am! *wink*

MTA

New York is not a very pleasant place to live in I must say. You can’t really drive so you rely on the unreliable subway.

MTA Grievances:

1. Unintelligible Conductors: Typical NY subway announcement: "Muffled gibberish… Muffled gibberish… muffled gibberish… Stand clear of the closing doors."

2. Rats as MTA mascots.

3. Metrocards: A recent survey showed that 1 in 4 swipes FAIL!…and don’t even get me started on the prices.

BUT!… after all is said and done, the world is a safer place with Yvonne not driving….sigh.

Viva Las Vegas!

Aaarrgghh…still recovering from my hectic weekend in Vegas! I had a blast….erm yeah I was there for work but I had a GREAT time! Sure I worked 12-14 hour days but then I partied like a rock star after that, and still managed to steal a few slot machine minutes here and there. *wink* So much too see and so much good food…yummy! Only in Vegas can you cross the street from Venice to be in Rome and cross back to be in Paris. :) Vegas_stripI mostly stayed on the strip but it was enough for one weekend. I stayed at the Mirage but I didn’t get chance to see the white tigers which totally bummed me out. Anyhoo my bosses said I did a tremendous job so I am thrilled. The biggest perk about my job is the chance to travel. Should have gone to Chicago last week but I am too exhausted…
